Uno no deja de sorprenderse de cuanta idiocia puede llegar a mostrar George W. Bush al frente de la Administración del país más poderoso del planeta. Hoy leía con atención los anuncios de la Casa Blanca y me he quedado estupefacto ante el despliegue de cinismo y la falta de coherencia de Bush. Es tal el grado de "caretuquismo" que he decidido inventar una escala - el Bush-O-Meter- para medir el grado de Cinismo y cuan Care'Piedra puede ser este energúmeno. Pongo a su consideración un extracto de los anuncions para que analicen estas "perlas" del Primer Ciudadano del Mundo y veamos si coincidimos en las puntuaciones del Bush-O-Meter.

• THE PRESIDENT: Well, thank you for that question. First of all, we've had a lot of successes in working together. I recognize there's still a lot of drogas coming here. Part of that has to do with we still use drugs, and we've got to do a better job of convincing people to stop using drugs. But we've also stopped a lot of drugs from coming. And therefore, I can argue to the Congress and the people that there has been a lot of notable successes. And the truth of the matter is Colombia has changed to the better as a result of the Plan Colombia. There's still bad activities going on, but it's a lot less than it was before. • Q Thank you. [talking about LatinAmerica tour]I'm sure you're aware of some protests in the countries that you will visit, mainly because of the war in Iraq. Are you concerned about those demonstrations?

• THE PRESIDENT: I am proud to be going to a part of the world where people can demonstrate, where people can express their minds. It happens quite frequently when I travel around the world. I understand people's concern about war. Nobody likes war. But I've had to make the decisions I made in order to not only secure our people, but to deal with threats and to help people be free. Uno puede llegar a pensar leyendo que Bush es una santa paloma que su único cometido es liberar al mundo de las garras del extremismo y llevarlo a la máxima expresión de democracia, respeto y libertad.

Por supuesto que es una lucha, pero no por liberar al mundo del extremismo de Oriente Medio, para lograrlo habría que permitir la formación de un estado Palestino soberano y ORDENAR el desarme de Israel. Ninguna de las dos cosas va a suceder en los próximos años. 15 puntos al medidor de hipocresía de Bush (el Bush-O-Meter).

The New Way Forward In Iraq:Ordering ... En años he encontrado una manera más lírica (aunque nada original) de justificar una agresión tan prolongada. ¡VEINTE MIL SOLDADOS! Y por supuesto, van a proteger las ciudades y los vecindarios y van a librar a Iraq de los terroristas con la ayuda de SUPERMAN, el Hombre Araña y hasta los X-MEN. 30 puntos más al Bush-o-meter.

Q Mr. President, $4 billion invested i... Claro, CUATRO MIL MILLONES DE DOLARES invertidos en el Plan Colombia y este animal tiene la OSADIA de decir que ha tenido algo de éxito. Lo que ha conseguido es que aumente considerablemente el número de desplazados que cruzan nuestra frontera. Sin hablar de los problemas ecológicos y sanitarios que nos ha traído la lluvia de glifosato. En vez de invertir tanto dinero en otro conflicto armamentista quizá sería conveniente gastar en publicidad y campañas para DETENER EL CONSUMO DE DROGAS. 50 puntos más al Bush-o-Meter.

THE PRESIDENT: I am proud to be going to ... Esto si se sacó la Medalla de PLATINO de la hipocresía y la mentira. Me pregunto, si está tan orgulloso de visitar países libres, en donde la gente se pueda expresar democráticamente y bla,bla,bla, entonces ¿porqué tienen cercado el Consulado de EEUU en Guayaquil? Si el mundo realmente fuera libre, Bush, seguramente NADIE hubiera aprobado y menos aún secundado la INVASION A IRAQ, por ser ilegal, absurda y viciada de intereses ajenos a la democracia y la libertad. El Bush-O-Meter da una marca de 100 Puntos.
